Statement: I use my background as a graphic designer, lyricist, and musician to pay homage to a very particular personal narrative. This is the story of how destiny had a hand in helping me realize my path towards a future in the music industry. The phrase “bright light” is the literal translation of my first and last name. Makhtub is a reminder that the path designed by destiny is better than any we could design for ourselves.
Note: The story of this particular piece did not end with its 1st and only display in 2011. The power of putting your dreams out into the universe was beautifully demonstrated when a year later, the realization of the lifetime dream that inspired this piece, came to fruition.
